Sylvia L. Simon was born in Sweden and has been painting for over 50 years. She is entirely self-taught, having only attended the Arts Students League of New York to draw from the model between 1978 and 1985. Sylvia emigrated to the United States in 1963, where she met her future husband. She has had a studio in the Hudson Valley since 2010 and works here and in Scotland. She has created an estimated oeuvre of over 2500 works on paper, canvas, and wood. This will be her first exhibition.
